Bill: Right to Bear Arms
Details
Submitted by[?]: Beluzian Defense and Federalist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2197
Description[?]:
We at the BDP believe that an armed public is a happy public. Gun control laws do not work. Simply put, criminals that feel the need to carry weapons, are either 1) not going to legally by them or 2) even if they did, they will not abide by the laws we enact. That being said, if law abiding citizens are given the right to carry weapons, there is a significantly less likely chance that they will become the victim of violent crime. Criminals are people too, and the last thing they want is to get shot when trying to mug and old lady, or rap an innocent woman. Therefore, we feel that it is in our best interest to pass a law that will allow or citizes to be armed. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
