Message | Mr. Speaker, Our citizens are facing extremely high taxes, due to our unnecessarily high expenditure in certain areas. The purpose of government expenditure is to benefit the public, but by doing this excessively, we are crippling them, and some citizens are forced to pay up to 75% income tax, which is ridiculous. Cutting down on government spending will allow us to give our citizens a tax break. Jeffery D. Makowski, Jr. Minister of Finance, Moralist Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, This budget is nothing but shameful. Take from the poor, those who need the goverment to keep themselves alive when their health fails them. Cut jobs from the working class who work with good honest professions like Nurses, road workers or our men and women in the armed forces. Such massive cuts against both our Defense but also against the poor, only to service the rich is not the right way for our great empire to go. The Honourable Gentleman surely realises how shameful this is. If this is is passed, don't be shocked if you have a strike on your hands. Edgar Keaton Social Democratic Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, I doubt people will strike once they find out how much this spending cut will reduce their taxes. Luke Schiltz Party Chairman, Moralist Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, There isn't much of a tax decrease when you count in how they won't afford to keep themselves alive, or those who will loose their jobs. Let us not forget the raise in taxes when it comes to the sales tax, instead of the luxury tax which can be supported. Frederick Coombes Chairman of the Social Democratic Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, The people who make less than 1,500 LPD per year will have ZERO income tax, so they should be able to support themselves just fine. Our friend from the SDP wants to decrease taxes while also increasing spending. I'm sorry, but we live in the real world, and this is impossible, unless you want to operate at a deficit. As far as our sales tax is concerned, even after the proposed increase is set in motion, our sales tax rates will still be among the lowest in all of Terra. Compared to nations like the Republic of Telamon where the sales tax rate is 50%, we will still have an extremely low rate. Jeffery D. Makowski, Jr. Minister of Finance, Moralist Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Once more the Moralist Party dodges the fact that they would rather see the poor pay up for the Whealthy. We are against the introduction of a sales tax without the introduction of a Luxury tax. And those who earns less than 1500, are also the ones who will need the Healthcare and Social services which you propose to cut. People would loose their jobs, go hungry or even die with this budget proposal. The ones who are safe are those who already have whealth. That is the issue here. Frederick Coombes Chairman of the Social Democratic Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, We are pleased that the Moralists have been removed from the Treasury, as they would cut vital service and defence industries. Frederick Stinson Chancellor and Imperial Seal Bearer Deputy Leader of the Royalists |
