Message | We passed both of these restrictions - the first years ago, the second months ago. That said, we are willing to revisit them both. The Christian Democrats do not wish to see women serve in battlefield positions. Our military needs are small and we can outfit an all-volunteery navy of 1,200 sailors without putting a single woman into harm's way. Our nation has a duty to protect our citizens. We also have a duty to maintain high standards in our military. If we have one set of physical standards, a tiny minority of women will meet it - and having one woman in a company of thirty men will cause morale problems. If we have mixed standards, we will have soldiers who are not up to snuff. That is also unacceptable. Homosexuality in the military is not a problem, but the overwhelming majority of soldiers are not homosexual. Open homosexuality is not conducive to good morale. Let anyone serve, but a person who becomes a morale problem - through excessive sexuality, fraternization, or open homosexuality - should be discharged. This is not negative discrimination. |

Message | The League believes in equal rights for all, there are negatives in all groups. If you treat everyone equal then everyone should get along just fine |
Date | 18:13:38, March 09, 2006 CET | From | Fig Party | To | Debating the Ending Discrimination in the Military |
Message | There was a study done by the Israeli Army showing that soldiers spend an average of 12 seconds longer over the dead body of female soldiers than men. |
Date | 02:07:15, March 10, 2006 CET | From | Radical Party | To | Debating the Ending Discrimination in the Military |
Message | We have enough faith in or military that we feel we can allow women in the military without problems from the men. And, obviously, homosexual men who become too sexually aggressive will be punished, but a man or woman shouldn't be punished for simply stating that he or she is gay. |

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost. |
