Bill: Reform Party Bill 18 - Racial Segregation

Details

Submitted by[?]: Liberal Party of Hutori

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4391

Description[?]:

Keeping races in Hutori separate. The only way to ensure our culture remains the dominant force in Hutori is to keep things separate. Non-white Hutori citizens are NOT equal to white Hutori citizens and therefore should not share the public space. White Hutori citizens deserve better.

MessageMr. Speaker,

This is the fourth racist proposal put forth by the Reform Party in as many hours! We urge our friends and colleagues in the other parties not to allow segregation to be the law of the land! To do so is not just morally wrong, but will also double the cost of government services! We beg the NNPP, Ultrackian Socialists, Royalists and others to cut ties with the Reform Party and to vote “No” on this bill!

If anything, this is the solution to our economic issues. Mashacara in particular are a SIGNIFICANT drain on the economy of Hutori. They do NOT work, meanwhile claim government benefits, use it on alcohol and yet continue to expect more and more benefits from the government. If anything, we should remove all Mashacara from Hutori in order to bring back the nation into surplus. We are doing THEM a favour by letting them remain in our country.

I can not believe the words coming out the mouth of the Deputy Leader of the Reform Party. We will not even deign to respond to that blatant racism, except to say that it had no place in this House. The Mashacara are proud people of Hutori, who were here long before we were, have loyally served the Crown for Centuries, and continue to serve this nation in everyway that we can; General Blackpaw, our own Defence Critic himself is a member of the Owise Nation of the Mashacara, and is an extremely distinguished member of the Armed Forces. We are joining the New Liberals in demanding the Reform Party issue an immediate retraction of their statements.

If it were up me, The "Honourable" General Blackpaw wouldn't even be sitting in this parliament. Nevertheless he stands here today. The Member for New Sertei, the only apology you will receive from the Reform Party is for not raising these issues sooner. We stand by our comments and our grassroots members support us.

MessageMr Speaker,

The Reform Party has always been an ally of the former Conservative Party of Hutori, and we hoped that once we merged and formed the Royalist Party, we could continue to count on the Reform Party as a strong ally. Unfortunately, with these series of bills being proposed, we see that the Reform Party's views have become far too extreme and until the people of Hutori recieve a formal apology, the Royalist Party will be cutting all ties with the Reform Party.

MessageMr Speaker,

I am disappointed in our traditional allies turning their back on their traditional allies, but so be it. Let me just remind the right wing parties in this chamber that without us, you may not be able to form cabinet and likewise to the left-wing parties, you may rely on us to pass bills. So before you go and shun us as a party, remember , you may need us some day.
