Message | Mr. Speaker, The cost of R&D and military ordinance purchasing is too high. Let us introduce competition by allowing defence industries to privatise and compete for government contracts. If a defense contractor can build an aircraft carrier for the Royal Hutori Navy quicker and cheaper than the state, do we not owe it to the taxpayer to get the best deal possible? Pavel Jucewicz MP for Aylesbury South Government Defence Minister |

Message | Mr Speaker, We applaud the New Liberal Party for putting forward this bill to parliament. The taxpayer is simply paying too much for our current defence industries which are not giving us the competitive advantage due to a lack of competition and over-priced. We must privatise this industry to ensure the Hutori military can acquire the best possible equipment. Kathlyn Montgomery MP for Arana Deputy Leader of the Reform Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, We echo the comments of the Reform Party. We believe that this bill is a step in the right direction. We are glad at least 1 party in the government coalition is using some common sense when it comes to fiscal responsibility and realizing that some things are better off in the private sector. Pascale Rousseau MP for Anslem Centre Leader of the Official Opposition |

Message | Mr Speaker I can not support this bill, it will raise the cost of the military dramatically and vastly hamper our quality, I am fine with there being a private option but there must be a public option as well, until that is changed I must vote no |

Message | Mr Speaker Clearly the Ultrackian Socialist Party has never looked in a economics textbook. Privatisation of this industry will decrease the costs not increase it due to it becoming competitive. I would advise the USP to reconsider their stance, rather than shouting to "increase taxes" as their so called solution to solving the budget. Let me make this clear, you increase the taxes, we will have no businesses invest in our country alongside high levels of tax evasion. Kathlyn Montgomery MP for Arana Deputy Leader of the National Reform Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Would the former Conservative Royalist Leader and his party support the bill if it were to read as follows? "The state owns national defence industries but these exist alongside privately owned defence industries." Would the UItrackian Socialists support the bill with the above language? Pavel Jucewicz MP for Aylesbury South Government Defence Minister |

Message | Mr Speaker The National Reform Party will support if the bill were to be worded either way. However I would appreciate in the future to be consulted like other parties have been. Tarina Rowland MP for Arana South Defence Spokesperson for the National Reform Party |

Message | Mr Speaker The New Liberals will not consult the Reform Party on any issue until they eliminate from their policy platform the forced removal of the Mashacara from Hutori shores. Russell Selwyn MP for Sutton East Parliamentary Leader of the New Liberals |

Message | Mr. Speaker While I can not speak on behalf of my more Conservative colleagues my caucus would gladly support the private and public option. Government controlled defence companies keeps the private sector honest while the private sector allows greater flexibility and innovation to better equip and modernize our armed forces. We fully support that compromise option Patrick Blackpaw Opposition Defence Critic MP for Tremaine Owise Hutorian Royal Army, General (ret.) |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We have updated the bill language to include the preferred policy position of our friends, the USPH, the Reformers, and the Progressive Royalists. We also hope that this incremental step will gain the support of the Conservative Royalists. We move to bring the bill to the floor for a vote. Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
