Message | Mr. Speaker, I stand to oppose this bill as New Liberals believe that freedom of speech and expression are sacrosanct values for the people of Hutori. Forcing children to sing the national anthem may infringe upon those rights. We will never support forced speech, but consider ourselves patriots. Our preferred policy position on this issue is to that "Children are not made to sing the national anthem, but are required to show respect when it is played at the commencement of school each day." We will be introducing a competing bill which will offer our esteemed colleagues to vote for that policy. Russell Selwyn MP for Sutton East Parliamentary Leader of the New Liberals |
