Message | Ayodele Awojobi, Minister of Environment and Tourism. Mr. Speaker, Our country is one that has important resources- ones that first drew the eye of foreign colonists, then ones that supported until recently a monarchical regime- and they are ones that it is up to us to protect. We are temporary stewards of the national treasure that is Talmoria's environment, and it is our duty to protect that treasure. Not just for the benefit of ourselves, but for the benefit of our children and future generations that will build a strong and model country. We can't do that with clearcutting. With depopulating our seas. With hoping that someone else somewhere at sometime does something. This is our time to do some work for the security and the future of all Talmorian families. And it will be worth every bit we spend to make this possible- longer lives, happier and more productive families and an industry that works with us as partners in this process. |

Message | Christian Hannover, Minister for Finance, "Mr. Speaker, nobody is AGAINST a clean environment - but some of the provisions of this act are just outlandish. Nationalization of forests? Banning an entire sector of the economy in whaling? New regulations, new restrictions, and new limits that will stifle innovation in Talmorian businesses and gutter our marketplace? The last thing we need right now is to make it HARDER to do business here." |

Message | Anita Flying Eagle, Minister for Agriculture: "What, pray tell, is innovation that is to come from whaling, comrade Minister? What amazing new techniques in waste disposal will be wrought by the free market? We shall not make it harder for legitimate businessmen to do business here, but we shall not allow our forests to continue to be raped and our oceans to be pillaged." |

Message | Ayodele Awojobi, Minister of Environment and Tourism. Mr. Speaker, I believe, Minister, that the Minister for Finance feels that whale oil is soon to make a comeback in Talmoria or in other countries. Any day now we'll go back to the good old days of lighting out rooms with a non-renewable resource. I for one would like to know that my children and grandchildren can know what a whale is rather than have some company that provides little benefit have just a tad more profit for a few years. I must be crazy for thinking so, apparently. |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
