Message | Monika Davidson, Floor Leader for the Progressive Republican Party "Ladies and gentlemen, it is shameful to see that no matter what accomplishments this body makes there are those among us who still wish to bathe in the blood of our countrymen. Whatever our disagreements with the Congress of Socialists, we share their vision of a peaceful and outward-facing Talmoria. A Talmoria that eschews conquest, imperialism, and war crimes in favor of friendship and harmony. We stand opposed to this act." |

Message | Ugochukwu Buchi, Chairman of the NRF "Honorable Talmorians, this bill is to ensure we can adequately defend ourselves in time of great peril. The NRF aren't warmongers or imperialists. Talmoria shouldn't be entangled in conflict unless we are under attack. The time will come when we are being invaded by a force stronger than our own, and when that time comes, how will we be able to defend our Republic? As stated in this bill, landmines, nuclear weapons, and chemical or biological weapons shall be used as a last resort, or at the discretion of our professional military. Again, we emphasize the need for adequate self-defense measures. If this bill doesn't pass, the NRF shall reintroduce a similar one, and will be open to suggestions. We encourage the Black Block and the Front for Motherland and Order to stop abstaining from legislation concerning this great Republic. |
Date | 15:44:53, May 20, 2018 CET | From | Black Bloc | To | Debating the Military Strengthening Act |
Message | Moniade Richland, leader of the Black Bloc. Mr Speaker. We don't need to be urged to do anything. However, so long as this tries to allow for or legitimize the use of chemical weapons- weapons that cannot be controlled and that threaten to indiscriminately kill combantants and civilians alike- then we absolutely and steadfastly refuse to support this legislation. Believe me, we support fully the building and stockpiling of nuclear arms as a way to safeguard this great nation and her people. But chemical weapons can do us just as much harm- or more- than good. And so while Article 4 remains in this legislation we remain steadfastly opposed. |
