MessageMr Speaker,

VAT is a tax on the poor, how the SDP can be proud of implementing it is beyond us all, it needs to be abolished once more, along with the Corporation Tax which brings in less than £2,000,000,000 for the Treasury.

We will propose modest Spending Reductions to cover the cost of these cuts to help jobs, growth and the poor spend more.

Modest? You are cutting social services by billions! Slashing our industrial capability and putting far less in to science and research. This tax is small, but it funds something large.

MessageMe Speaker,

No they do not, they merely cost companies and people £5 billion. The large cuts are due to our Income Tax reforms which will not be put to a vote until after this bill. There can be no justification to an extra 3% on all essential goods.

MessageMr Speaker,

We have scrapped our income tax reform for now given the make up of the Diet.

But I call on all to abolish VAT and corporation tax, a modest cost of £4.6 billion is worthwhile to save the poor 3% on essential goods and to allow companies to hire more people or offer more hours.

MessageMr Speaker,

We have changed this to a abolition of VAT bill, which will require spending cuts of other tax increases to recuperate the £2,918,056,298 only. We hope this compromise finds support in the Diet, for the people who buy food and clothing, for the people who have little to spend already.

Chancellor
