Details
Submitted by[?]: Liberal Progressives
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 4399
Description[?]:
The Free Regulated Entrepeneurs Effectively Act (further known af the F.R.E.E. Act) is the Liberal party’s reaction to the state of our economy. We live in a country where citizens are not free to start businesses of their own in many sectors of our economy right now. The F.R.E.E. Act seeks to change this. Let the people of Lodamun have the freedom to work for themselves in most major sectors and only. Leave the government in charge of industries that would not survive otherwise. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy on industry and subsidies to industrial operations.
Old value:: The state owns the commanding heights of the economy and all major industries, but private ownership is allowed in the minor industries.
Current: The government acts as an investor of last resort, by nationalizing failing industries that provide vital goods or services.
Proposed: Certain industries are owned by the state, all others are under private ownership.

Message | Mr Speaker, As of today we see a great step towards a liberal and free country. Not only do we believe that a free market will get us, the people, better quality and cheaper production together with high productivity. This will greatly improve our GDP and will reduce the dependency on other countries for certain products. Furthermore, with this bill, we would like to request a more open trading system towards other countries, so that we all can prosper. Sincerely, Sigrid Koge Trade and Industry Spokesperson, PLP |

Message | Mr. Speaker, It Is exactly this lax attitude towards progress that characterizes many other parties. We at the Liberal Party see an unfair system, where citizens are not free to lead their lives the way they want to and intend tot fix this, along with cutting government spending where it is not necessary. The increase of our currently minor surplus would allow the government to do things that would be of greater benefit to society as a whole. For instance, if this bill passes, we could lower taxes on essential goods and services. Freeing our citizens to develop themselves freely on the market would also increase innovativeness, seen as this is an area where citizens excel and a lot of potential is currrently lost. The Liberal Party would tell the PSP that yes, if it isn’t broken, do not fix it, but also, if it isn’t perfect, don’t stop trying to improve! Message | Mr. Speaker, As concerning the request for a freer and more open trading system towards other countries, we of the Liberal Party think it might be possible to address this issue in a different bill, nevertheless, it is a sentiment which we share. Message | Mr. Speaker, Together with the PSP, the EP sees a case of hypochondria. Our nation is not sick, our economy is doing perfectly fine and there are almost no complaints about this. We are glad that the Liberal Party agrees with the proverb stated by the PSP, and we would like to add that privatization is not an improvement, but a decay. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, we understand the stance of the Ecosocialist Party. And they are quite right about it. LNC supports private businesses and industries, but we strongly believe that the State should be the main player at a certain level. No matter what the liberals are saying, we have a booming economy. Thanks to our current system! Changing the legislation as proposed might mean a serious setback for our economy. Ludwig Grande MP for LNC |
Date | 13:47:32, May 25, 2018 CET | From | Lodamun Labour Party | To | Debating the The Free Regulated Entrepeneurs Effectively Act |
Message | Mr. Speaker, Labour is proud of the industry of Lodamun. The growth of our industry is for a great part achieved by the government management of the most important industries. Those industries are vital to the economy of Lodamun. Privatization of those industries will destabilize our economy according to the LLP. The LLP will vote against the proposal.
