Message | This bill is a huge victory for the health of our people and also for their freedom. Why shouldn't we have the right to decide if we want to donate organs or why shouldn't women decide if they want to have an abortion? Why should we accept that the market doesn't care about people's health and that healthcare should be in the hands of the market? Why should medical cannabis that has showed many benefits to many who suffer too much everyday be kept illegal? There's no need for that, it's time we think of the people of this country and accept bold change to the current legislation that respects people's freedoms and rights and also guarantees they have the right to be healthy and others shouldn't infringe that right of them. Message | "The Partido Socialista do Povo has to keep in mind that the UDT is still and conservative party, and a regionalist and federalist party. While we would like to ease the prohibition on smoking and on organ donation, and we would support food and beverade labelling, food standards and health and safety regulation, we think that these matters are best left to local governments. We can therefore not support the centralizing tendencies of this bill. And there is no way we would cooperate with legalising abortion up to a time two thirds into a pregnancy." Casper Rocha, UDT spokesperson for Health and Social Affairs |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
