Bill: Flag Legislation in Accordance with General Sentiment (FLAGS) Act of 4401

Details

Submitted by[?]: New Liberal Party of Hutori

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 4401

Description[?]:

A bill to request the creation of several options for a referendum on the national flag.

As the flag of Hutori was never changed when the Republic ended and the Commonwealth (and Monarchy) restored, Hutorians should have the ability to vote on whether the state should create a new flag - perhaps one more in line with the Nation's monarchist tendencies.

A "Yes" vote is a vote to create a commission to propose a new flag to be voted on later.

A "No" vote is a vote not to create that commission and to keep the flag as is until at least the next election.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The current flag actually predates even what is commonly known as the First Republic. It has seen at least five separate governmental restructurings, to seen it done away with would be a great loss for our culture.

MessageMr Speaker,

We believe a new flag, honoring the House of Steuart-Charmichael is long overdue. We wholeheartedly support this move to create a new flag.
