Bill: National Motto and Anthem Redraft Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ludowa Koalicja
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 4411
Description[?]:
While we are not nationalists, the SdPR recognizes that we are mostly made up of ethnic Valruzians, and having Selucian as our language for our national motto, as well as our national anthem, is a strange construct. This bill aims to redraft both the national motto and anthem to reflect our culture much better. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The lyrics of the national anthem.
Old value:: In Selucian (singed): Gaude, mater Valruzia, prole fecunda nobili. Summi Regis magnalia laude frequenta vigili. Cuius benigna gratia Stanislai Pontificis passionis insignia signis fulgent mirificis. Hic certans pro iustitia Regis non-cedit furiae Stat pro plebis iniuria Eliyahu miles in acie. Tyranni truculentiam, Qui dum constanter arguit, Martyrii victoriam Membratim cæsus meruit. ________________________ In Valruzian (OfficialTranslation): O ciesz się, Matko-Walruzjo, w sławne Potomstwo płodna! Króla królów I najwyższego Pana wielkość Uwielbiaj chwałą przynależną. Albowiem z Jego łaskawości Biskupa Stanisława męki Niezmierne, jakie on wycierpiał, Jaśnieją cudownymi znaki. Potykał się za sprawiedliwość, Przed gniewem króla nie ustąpił: I staje żołnierz Elijachowy Za krzywdę ludu sam do walki. Ponieważ stale wypominał On okrucieństwo tyranowi, Koronę zdobył męczennika, Padł posiekany na kawałki. ________________________ In Luthorian (English): Rejoice, oh Mother Valruzia Rich in noble offspring, To the Highest King render Worship with incessant praise. For by His benign grace Bishop Stanislaw's torments, so great, which he had suffered Shine with marvelous signs. Here contending for justice, He did not yield before the anger of the king: And stands the soldier of Eliyahu, Alone to fight for the injury of the people. Because he constantly reminded The tyrant of his brutality, He gained the crown of a martyr, And fell quartered into pieces.
Current:
To the tune of Waszawianka Let us boldly raise our banner, Even though a storm of hostile elements is howling, Ene though sinister forces oppress us today, Even though everybody's tomorrow is uncertain. Oh, this is the banner of all Valruzia, The sacred call, the song of resurrection, It's the triumph of labour and justice, It's the dawn of the brotherhood of all Valruzians! Forward, Valruzia! To the bloody fight, Sacred and righteous! March, March, Valruzia! Forward, Valruzia! To the bloody fight, Sacred and righteous! March, March, Valruzia! Hurrah! Let's tear down the crown of reaction, While people are rejoicing, Lets drown the roten thrones in blood, Thrones already stained purple with the people's blood! Ha! Frightful vengeance is today's tormentors, That suck the life out of all Valruzians. Ha! Vengeance to the reactionaries and cosmopolitans, And we'll harvest the crops of the future! Forward, Valruzia! To the bloody fight, Sacred and righteous! March, March, Valruzia! Forward, Valruzia! To the bloody fight, Sacred and righteous! March, March, Valruzia! Let us boldly raise our banner, Even though a storm of hostile elements is howling, Even though sinister forces oppress us today, Even though everybody's tomorrow is uncertain. To the bloody fight, Sacred and righteous! March, March, Valruzia! Forward, Valruzia! To the bloody fight, Sacred and righteous! March, March, Valruzia! ------------------- Odważnie wznieśmy sztandar, Choć wyje burza wrogich żywiołów, Choć złowrogie siły nas dzisiaj uciskają, Chociaż jutro każdego jest niepewne. O, to jest sztandar całej Valruzji, Święte wezwanie, pieśń zmartwychwstania, To triumf pracy i sprawiedliwości, To świt braterstwa wszystkich Valruzian! Naprzód, Valruzio! Do krwawej walki, Święte i sprawiedliwe! Marzec, marzec, Valruzia! Naprzód, Valruzio! Do krwawej walki, Święte i sprawiedliwe! Marzec, marzec, Valruzia! Hurra! Zburzmy koronę reakcji, Podczas gdy ludzie się cieszą, Zatopmy zgniłe trony we krwi, Trony już splamione fioletową krwią ludzi! Ha! Straszna zemsta jest dzisiejszą oprawcą, To wysysa życie ze wszystkich Valruzian. Ha! Zemsta na reakcjonistach i kosmopolitach, I zbierzemy plony przyszłości! Naprzód, Valruzio! Do krwawej walki, Święte i sprawiedliwe! Marzec, marzec, Valruzia! Naprzód, Valruzio! Do krwawej walki, Święte i sprawiedliwe! Marzec, marzec, Valruzia! Message | OOC: Leaving this for debate until the elections pass. Also trying to retrofit the lyrics of the Polish national anthem to fit Valruzia, which may take some time, hence why the proposal is not included in the bill. |

Message | OOC: Scratch revising the Polish national anthem, it makes sense to merely delete the Selucian lyrics and merely leave the Valruzian lyrics as what is officially sung. |
