Description[?]:
Members of the Presidium, The Republic of Valruzia has asked us to support a embargo against Republic of Kalistan. The people of Kalistan are our brothers. For years we have had great relations with the Republic of Kalistan, to support this treaty would be putting a dagger into the backs of our allies. This is why I ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs to reject this treaty and give a powerful signal to other members of the Seleyan Union that Lodamun stands with Kalistan! Cathy Durand LLP MP on Foreign Affairs. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, we have also received an invitation to join the embargo, which we strongly oppose. For as far as we are concerned, there is no direct cause to defend such an embargo. We would like Valruzia to clarify their bid. Also, as Mrs. Durand claims, we have a fine cooperation with Kalistan and we are not ready to jeopardize that. Message | Mr. Speaker, The ministry agrees with the members of the presidium of the LLP and the LNC, that we have a durable alliance with Kalistan, and that we have no reason to break our cordial relations with them at this point in time. Therefore we support the Presidium in rejecting the treaty offered by the Seleyan Union. Should any new problems be derived from this issue, the Foreign Ministry will keep the Presidium informed. Message | Mr. Speaker, In addendum, while we will speak out against our fellow members, I would not recommend any further steps to the body of the Seleyan Union or any of our fellow member states. This might not have been clear in my earlier statement, so hereby I reaffirm Lodamun's position as a member of the Seleyan Union. James McAvoy Minister of Foreign Affairs |
