Bill: Military budget increase

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lodamun Labour Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 4414

Description[?]:

Members of the Presidium,

The LLP proposes to increase the military spending. Our ally Kalistan has been threatend by other nations on this planet. Considering the current state of the Kalistani military we think it is wise to increase the spending, so we are able to defend Kalistan if necessery. I want to remind the members of the Presidium that the Presidium has voted for a increase of the military budget. (http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=573052)

MessageMr. Speaker,

with heavy heart we must confess that while we were initially in favour of this increase, we cannot in good conscience support this spending increase. Mostly due to the fervent outcry by our voters to oppose this, as well as the pacifism stated clearly in our founding principles, we cannot support a spending increase.
