Bill: Abortion Act 4424

Details

Submitted by[?]: Secular Humanist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4425

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

Two years ago the National-Socialist Lodamun Workers Party proposed very sensible legislation concerning the current abortion law. It is currently allowed to have an abortion up to the date of giving birth. As stated then we believe this is inhumane. We wish to change this to it only being allowed in the first and second trimester.

We hope that with the support of the coalition and with the change in share of seats in the Presidium we can now change this law.

Merit Ptah
Minister of Health and Social Services

MessageMr. Speaker,

The law is an improvement of the moral conciousness of this country. Though those countries that previously voted against this law should know that they are responsible for the deaths of those babies thst were viable for life.

Messageooc: I applaud the governing parties discipline, admittedly only after a few proposals, but I don't think I have seen this degree of government discipline in a multi-party government previously in particracy. Well done!
