Bill: Gated Communities Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Republican Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4427
Description[?]:
We propose to lift the current ban on the development of gated communities. We cant really understand why the current legislation is in place. If private individuals wish to live in such communities what is the problem? Ideally we;d also like the government to be in a position to offer the security of such communities to those in government built social housing. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The government's policy concerning gated communities.
Old value:: No gated communities are allowed.
Current: Both the government and the private sector can set up gated communities.
Proposed: The private sector can set up gated communities.

Message | Mr. Speaker, Under the LLP Lodamun banned the gated communities. The Republicans see forming a gated community as a freedom, we believe that it causes parallel societies within Lodamun. This is not something we want. We don't want a segregated society. Juno Rogue LLP MP on Justice |

Message | Mr Speaker, No doubt the Labour Party are against having locks on front doors to homes. Where someone lives should be a choice that is up to them surely? Private land already belongs to someone. Are the Labour Party really saying they're against someone having a fence up around their own land? Francis Young Leader of the Republican Party |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We support that people have a lock on their own doors or that they have a fence around their own land. But to seperate yourself entirely from society in a gated community is not something we support. Juno Rogue, LLP MP on Justice |

Message | Mr Speaker, Surely that is an individuals right? If the Labour Party believe that an individual has a right to mate with the sibling, surely they must have a right to live in self-contained communities, if that is their choice. Francis Young Leader of the Republican Party |
Date | 18:23:13, July 18, 2018 CET | From | Secular Humanist Party | To | Debating the Gated Communities Act |
Message | Mr. Speaker, If a group of people wish to use their private property to establish their own community, we don't see a reason why this shouldn't be allowed. Alexander Prince SHP Party Leader |
