Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 4429
Description[?]:
Mr Speaker Before the last elections changes have been made to our military. In the opinion of the CDUL these changes have gone way to far. Using nuclear weapons for any reason is not in accordance with international law, damages our international reputation, and brings us closer to a nucelar war. As such we propose that nuclear weapons can not be used for any reason. Luca Brankic Party leader CDUL |

Message | Mr Speaker, Regretfully we must oppose. Currently no additional resources have been earmarked for spending on such weapon systems. But we have the legal means to initiate development of such systems if required. Francis Young President of Lodamun Ooc: I would assume that actually the President can't debate in the Presidium now? |

Message | Mr. Speaker, We will support this bill, as it is a step back from the current laws which go way too far and are very difficult to explain internationally. James McAvoy Parliamentary Leader PSP OOC: Yes, the president normally does not debate in the Presidium |

Message | Mr Speaker, Lodamun's current stance shouldn't be difficult to explain internationally as it brings us closer to international norms. Currently only nine nations in Terra rule out the use of Nuclear weapons. Nine. Less than half of the nations in Terra rule out the use of chemical and biological weapons. In such a dangerous world where most countries retain a commitment to possess such weapons Lodamun would be foolish to give up these systems. Regina Miller Republican Leader |

Message | Mr Speaker Giving up nuclear weapons is not what is proposed here. These proposals are only about the way we use them. In fact, the consistent republican party proposed exactly the same not a long time ago. Luca Brankic Party leader CDUL |

Message | Mr Speaker, The Republicans proposed the proposed proposals as an attempt to initiate moderate incremental change with moderate proposed proposals as the Labour Party had reneged on a previous commitment to support less moderate proposed proposals. Now we have the legislation where we are happy with it we are loathe to recommit to the moderate proposed proposals we had proposed purely to pass moderate proposed proposals, while we favoured other. Therefore we feel in this instance there is definitely a valid reasons for our idiosyncratic approach to moderating our views. Regina Miller, Republican Leader |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Although we would rather these kinds of weapons not be used at all, we will vote for this measure as it is a step in the right direction away from current law. Trevor Takon, NGPoL MP |

Message | Mr. Speaker, Reserving the right and using are two different things. The LLP believes that Lodamun should be able to produce and even use nuclear and chemical weapons in extreme but yet necessery cases. Ismail Terrance, LLP MP on Defence |

Message | Mr. Speaker, It seems that the Conservative Democrats wish to wait for the enemy to strike first before using appropiate force themselves. First innocent Lodamun nationals have to die before the CDUL wishes to take responsibility. We deem the proposed policies as dangerously weak-minded. The NSLWP votes no. John Miller Leader of the NSLWP |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
