Message | Mr Speaker, Social democracy is a promotor of personal freedom and the SDP wants to ban prostitution. That is not social democracy but strong social conservatism. And workers council is a move towards communism. We dont want that. Nicholas Ferina, LDU |

Message | Mr Speaker, We favour a regulated and free market. We are socially moderate but leaning Conservative on some issues like prostitution. We do not beleive that you should be able to buy a woman's body. We do not beleive in owning the right to someone. It's slavery for a certain time. No woman truly wishes to be a prostitute. Instead it's forced upon them by the Neo Liberal policed brought fourth by your party. The women of this country are not for sale to you or any man. Alice Teodurschu Chancellor and Imperial-Seal bearer |

Message | Mr Speaker, We disagree with the SDP on article 3, as we belive that prostitution will still occur even if illegal. If it is legal, there is protections in place for women who are assaulted by their clients. We don't agree with the Chancellor that it is slavery, and I think that was a rather ill-advised statement that I'm sure does not reflect what the Ms Teodurschu was trying to say. We will vote in favour of this bill on the other articles, however. Jac Campbell Leader of the Labour Party |
Date | 18:48:47, July 25, 2018 CET | From | Luthori Progress Party | To | Debating the Third way economics reform |
Message | Mr Speaker, The Luthori Progress Party is inclined to abstain on this bill. Indeed this makes no difference at all, however we refuse to vote in favor of the restriction of one's civil liberties. What right have we to say what a woman may or may not do with her body? We find the SDP's notion that no woman truly wishes to be a prostitute to be morally reprehensible. With prostitution legalized, we can regulate it through institutions like brothels. As such, the workers are safer, on account of legislation making sure that brothels protect them, and clients are safer, on account of legislation preventing brothels from hiring workers with STDs. Simply put, to criminalise prostitution is a ridiculous idea indeed. George Otieno - Leader of The LPP |
