MessageMr. Speaker

When this House voted in favour of raising the Corporate Tax Rate from zero to three percent it was justified because of the need to pay for the war. While we dropped from the Vaunted Eight, of the only economies in the world without a Corporate Tax to 10th in the world, we understood the need. This tax rise is creeping back up ans dropping us from 10th to 13th. If these small increases continues the competitiveness of the Hutorian business community will have vanished and we will be where we were thirty years ago.

We urge the New Liberals to abandon this rax increase.

MessageMr. Speaker,

We apologize for not speaking with our governing coalition members before casting our votes. Seeing legitimate concern and out of respect for our coalition partners, we will hold off on supporting any tax increases at this time. Preferring instead to put together a comprehensive tax reform bill for consideration for a vote in the next parliament.

We will begin to ask for comment in the coming weeks and months on a New Liberal tax reform plan that will both keep the Hutori economy strong and introduce a more fair, just and equitable tax system to our shores.

MP for Axminster South
New Liberal Presidential Candidate
New Liberal Parliamentary Leader

A five percent tax is almost nothing and you didn't even say what the money was for. Unless you raise the tax I can't support this measure
