Bill: Private Transportation Act II

Details

Submitted by[?]: Beluzian Defense and Federalist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2200

Description[?]:

As a citizen of Beluzia, I do not understand why we are unable to own any car we so choose. Environmentally friendly cars can cost a lot more, limiting the availability of personal transportation to our lower classes. I like the idea of environmentally friendly cars, but think that if people are willing to pay more for gas, they should be able to drive anything they want.

MessageAny family, lower income or otherwise, can travel free on the public transit system.

And if only environmentally friendly cars are allowed, they will be cheaper than an economic system with both kinds. Since the business can only make one type of car, they are going to do so at a cheaper rate than if these cars were "special."

Random quote: Although I understand and respect the intentions behind the gesture, this is not something that is universally understood or appreciated, and it tends to give out a negative impression of our party. ~ Anton Weinreich, General Secretary of the Dorvish Communist Party, pleading with his members to stop burning the national flag
