Description[?]:
Mr Speaker, Give a man a fish and he has fish for a day, teach a man how to fish and he has fish all his life, teach a man how to capitalism and he can eat whatever he wants whenever he wants (preferably @ McDonalds). 5 years ago a similar proposal was rejected due to a late change of opinion by the then still existing Republican Party. Now that the composition of the Presidium has changed, we wish to propose again the possibility to tie trade deals to development aid. Futhermore, on top of that we propose to leave the Eastern Development Organization, as this treaty does not allow us to do so. As stated under article IV. REQUIREMENTS - B. No other political, economic, cultural, or other "strings" will be tied to loans and grants, as the member nations respect each nation's unique histories, situations, and cultures. Futhermore, the treaty states that development aid is a moral duty, which we fully disagree with. As such the following to proposals: Halbe Blok Minister of Foreign Affairs |
