MessageMr Speaker,

Whilst I support the amendment proposed to the budget, as it brings forward an increase in Health and education spending that my party has long believed should occur, may I note that if passed in conjunction with the LCR tax plan, the deficit would be so high even I couldn't support that, perhaps reaching 30% of GDP I believe. An incredible act of fiscal recklessness.

MessageMr Speaker,

In response to the TUSC comments, if our tax proposals were to pass which seems mostly unlikely seen as the diets utter contempt to tax people for all they have, we would put forward a new budget in which there would be reduced public spending, and people with more money would become more self-reliant and would be able to stimulate the economy, with less need for the government to do so.
