| Illegal immigration is a criminal activity, yet currently the Baltusian state rewards illegal immigrants by allowing them to stay in the country. This is not an effective deterrent on criminal behavior and will only encourage migrants to use criminal organisations to traffic them into Baltusia. Thus criminal organisations will continue to be attractive to migrants, because once they're in Baltusia we allow them to stay. By deporting illegal immigrants we reduce the effectiveness of criminal organisations engaged in people smuggling, reducing the number of deaths that occur during the process of being illegally smuggled into Baltusia. |
