| As had been proposed before, and had received majority but not two-third assent, for the reasoning given before: "The current flag violates a number of rules of flag design. It incorporates letters, which is a no-no in of itself, while also having them in an obscure font. Furthermore, the colours are sharply contrasting, but are stylised in such a way that is no aesthetically pleasing. Ultimately, the result is one that students of design and art across the country have widely criticised. It's a childish-looking flag which doesn't make our country look strong or great. Have the colours simply been chosen because "yellow and red" is a communist cliche? What do those colours represent? Blood? Surely we want a flag where there has been a lot of careful input into the design to create an aesthetically pleasing but also meaningful product. The presented flag combines the hammer-and-sickle as a representation of our working people, who are the backbone of our nation. The white represents the peace that all parties in our nation should seek to uphold and stand by. The blue represents the sea by which our mainland and islands our connected. The red represents more that simply blood, it represents the red of dusk when the people of Dorvik can look back on a day spent serving their country. Around the communist symbol of a hammer-and-sickle and within is white, representing that peace and calm must surround and come before any ideologies.
