Bill: Reapprisal of the National Security Act of 4479

Details

Submitted by[?]: Socialist Party of Kalistan (SPoK)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4481

Description[?]:

Given the recent alterations of the foreign policy of Kalistan by the Assembly, and the abstention of two major Parties, the SP would like to propose a slight amendment to the recently passed National Security Act of 4479.

We encourage all Parties to cast a vote on this bill, so that we can see what support these measure have when all members of the Assembly vote on it.

MessageDue to our opposition to article 3, we must oppose. However. if the other three policies were proposed in a separate bill, we would support that bill.

MessageWouldn't it be easier to support this bill and then overturn Article 3 separately? It seems like bad maths to base your decision on the one article you oppose rather than the three you support!

MessageEither way, a second bill would be proposed and put to a vote, so we don't see either course of action as better or worse than the other.

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.
