| This should have been an issue raised many times. We should NOT allow people to engage in sexual intercourse in public places, it is a terrible message to be sending to our neighbours, and it is a terrible example to set for future generations. This is making our nation look like a disgrace. |

| Message | Why is it a disgrace? Do you object to the fact that Darnussian people are naturally uninhibited with regards to nudity and sex in public? It is a perfectly natural part of human life and there is no reason to be imposing restrictions of this nature. Also, realise that not everyone is choosing to have sexual intercourse in public and those that do are almost always discreet about it. In parking lots, Darnussians have sex in a car, a van or in the back of a lorry. At the beach, Darnussians have sex under a blanket or in a portable changing room (you know, those ones that are sort of like a small canopy intended for one person). At a park, a few Darnussians have sex in the bushes in a concealed area where few people walk. In locations where there are public toilets, Darnussians have sex in closed toilet cubicles. Some Darnussians have sex in dressing rooms at clothing shops. All of these are sex in public, but all of them are discreet. Most other countries in Terra have no laws regarding obscene public acts, so allowing sexual intercourse in public is no terrible message to be sending to our neighbours. Also, public sex has always been legal in Darnussia and over time it has become a tradition. Part of our nation's tradition of public sex involves doing so discreetly so as not to offend anyone, though few people are offended. If you were to pass this law, then most people would refuse to follow it (and most policemen would probably look the other way because they do it too). All this law would do is impose on the people of Darnussia. We should openly allow public sex rather than hypocritically banning it while some people will continue to do it anyway and get away with it. Clearly, you do not understand Darnussian culture and traditions. |
