Bill: Native Workers Act - 4496

Details

Submitted by[?]: National Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4496

Description[?]:

Given continuing unemployment within Hutori and given the changes in the previous Parliament to a points based immigration system preferring skilled workers we propose further tightening legislation on the employment of foreign workers.

Under the proposed legislation immigrants would be further prioritized according to demand for labour. This also has the added bonus of prioritizing Hutori citizens when it comes to the job market.

MessageMr Speaker,

While we believe that Hutorian workers should always be put first, we believe this bill goes too far. We welcome immigrants from across Terra, and this bill would make Hutori a less attractive place for them to come to.

Rt. Hon. Steve Taylor
MP for Glentingham East
Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Hutori
