Message | The JAS will gladly support this bill. We're getting tired of having to walk 4 miles just to get a beer when we leave the capitol building. |

Message | I disagree with this bill. It would not cover homebrew operations or backyard stills, which I firmly support, but would allow alcohol to be sold by anyone, and this will certainly lead to more alcohol in the hands of underage persons. In controling the means of distribution we can ensure a reasonable number of distributors in any area, preventing certain neighbourhoods from being overrun by unlicensed bars or martini-stands. I do feel that alcohol may be consumed in public, bearing in mind that drunk and disorderly charges would remain, as responsible people of age would moderate themselves. |

Message | "If someone sells or gives alcohol to a minor, let Justice prosecute them. But. . but. . control the means of distribution of alcohol? Why did we fight a war against fascism? Why did we organize protests against communism?" -- Vivanne Dynamis, Minister of the Environment and Tourism |
