Message | What’s your point? There have been and will be times where there are eight parties vying for their share of seats. This is unnecessary. |

Message | We support this bill, but not for the reasons provided by the LDP. More seats means more representation for the people. |

Message | To our Comrades in the NCP: Given that seats are assigned by proportion of the electorate who votes for, a higher number of seats merely reflects a more granular measure of the same thing. At 250 Seats, the percentage of the vote which is actually represented in the legislature is much higher than at 100 for sure. But at some point we hit the level of diminishing returns in the prevention of wasted or misallocated votes as reflected in seat count. Consequently there is not much difference in terms of representation as a percentage between 250 seats and 300, or more. After all, 42% of 250, relatively speaking is about the same as 42% of 300. We do not support the change. At some point in the past we might have, but at the end of the day, it really doesn't make much difference with a larger assembly, since our seat reflects the same percentage regardless of how many seats we have. |
