Message | "We recently abolished the corporate tax, the pittance of which was proof that corporations do not make any money in Keymon. Is it wise to hinder corporations further, or to demonize them when the pollution they produce is a fraction of what the regular citizens manage? We are not so sure and will have to think carefully about this issue." -- Blake Manlove, Minister of the Interior |

Message | Yes. It is true that the amount of pollution created by our industries is small compared to what our citizens create. That is not the issue here. What matters is the TYPE of pollution that is being created and improperly disposed of. Most "regular citizens" do not have access to, use, or improperly dispose of hydrochloric Acid, Arsenic, Toluene, N-Hexane, Vanadium Compounds, Methl Isobutyl Ketone, and many many others. These chemicals are currently being disposed of in any manner seen fit by the company. I have seen a vat of 1,2,4-Trimethylbenzene poured into our landfill. These chemicals soak through the ground and into our water supply. These chemicals cause birth defects, kill wildlife, and are known to cause life termination illness after prolong exposure. Forcing proper elimination of these wastes will not be an expensive procedure. Our anaylsts have shown that it would increase cost by less than 2%. Surely the CDs can agree that without the corporate tax as a hindrance these corporations can afford less than 2% to properly dispose of their trash that is effecting the populace as a whole? Message | "Water? Ah, uhm, I'm not thirsty. In any case, uhm, our laws provide for the government disposing of, uhm, special waste." -- Blake Manlove, Minister of the Interior |

Message | So true! But special waste has refered to radioactive materials from our nuclear plants, and not to the chemicals and byproducts that are found regularly in our industries. Are you sure minister? Water is still cold. Fresh from the tap; straight from the well. Didn't even go through the treatment plant so it's safe of fluoride, and I know how worried you are about the fluoride. |

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current. |
