Message | We'd support cutting any unnecessary taxes, though we'd rather have it cut from the people rather than corporations. We'll support since this doesn't even dent the national surplus. |

Message | We would like to assure the NCP,We support all sorts of reduction in taxes and we still support removing the 1<Bracket all together because it aswell would simply be giving back from the surplus to the people but the Finance Ministry is on the SPoK so they are the ones to refer on this issue |

Message | We would oppose cutting the corporate tax, but token contribution of the lowest tax brackets is key to undermining the arguments of those who oppose social spending on the grounds that the beneficiaries contribute nothing to the system. We know that innnewly capitalist Kalistan, there is a growing sense of class resentment, as exists in all capitalist systems, and to decrease this, we do not support anything that will give anti-social spending advocates ammunition to help them wage their war on the poor. The corporate tax is, however, a sales tax by another name. So, if this cut allows us to remain within surplus, the Finance Minister will endorse this bill happily and the Sp will commit to voting for it. We will have to do some calculations, however and will return to this in a short time. |

Message | We would also like to correct the statement of the authors: corporate taxes do not affect willingness to invest. Corporate taxes are simply passed on to consumers. If they see a profit to be made, they will always make their profit margin, whatever the corporate taxes are. This is because capital gains are not taxed (which would actually hit investment profits and decrease the willingness to invest) and there is no price cap, which you’ll mean that corporate taxes would have to come out of profit margins, but could not be transferred to the consumer. We would appreciate truth in advertising. If the authors want a decrease in corporate tax, fine. But please don’t sell it as somehow bad for business to have one. When the truth is that it is really bad for the consumers, and equals a back donor sales tax. |

Message | After studying the matter, we call upon the authors to amend this bill to abolish the corporate tax. It represents just over a tenth of our surplus and is completely unnecessary. |

Random fact: Players who consent to a particular role-play by acknowledging it in their own role-play cannot then disown it or withdraw their consent from it. For example, if player A role-plays the assassination of player B's character, and player B then acknowledges the assassination in a news post, but then backtracks and insists the assassination did not happen, then he will be required under the rules to accept the validity of the assassination role-play. |
