MessageMr Speaker,

This budget is a pragmatic answer to the ills that have been brought by the previous government. The Empire has never been at war for decades, and so we cannot afford to spend 75,000,000,000 LPD for nothing. These are money we could and should have spent for more necessary things such as health, welfare, and education.

MessageMr speaker,

The military is the exact reason why we have not been to war. The most efficient and desirable military is that which does not have to go to war. I find it despicable that Ms Garden tells our fine soldiers that they are doing nothing of value when they are defending liberty itself.

MessageMr Speaker,

20 years of surplus is not an ill.

The idiotic tax cuts will plunge us into the first deficit in decades.

MessageMr Speaker,

The Party opposite has the audacity to tell us about economics when its their coalition that burdened millions of the poor with high rates of taxes. We see the current tax rates as equitable as those who earn more should contribute more to our society so that the government could help those who are disadvantaged.

To be honest, it is not the tax rates and the deficit that the Opposition is afraid of. It's the principle of equality!

MessageMr Speaker,

The Leader of the Social Democrats, who may I remind is still very much part of our Coalition, should stop putting words in my mouth. I did not EVER say that the military is not doing anything for this great country of ours. The military members can be considered one of the backbones of our Empire, and for that we will forever be grateful.

However, we are currently paying for things that we should not be doing in the name of the military that include biological and chemical weapons, land mines, and nuclear arms. Furthermore, as long as the Government supports the nationalisation of the defence industries, we, the Socialist Workers, will favour a budget cut for the military.

I yield.

MessageMr Speaker,

If she is so keen on keeping this coalition together, the right honourable minister of finance should keep away from trying to crush it at every major turn. We will fix the mess in our finances, and it is our mistake for putting to much faith in to one single member of the diet. In the coming weeks we shall propose our own spending budget that will fix the defecit and continue our strong economy. Recklessness is not a fit for the economy. We herby invite all members of the opposition and government to form a budget which can help this nation.

Proposed cuts from the SDP are cuts to culture, technology with tax increases in the wealthiest and from those that can afford it.
