Message | We do not think concealment of a weapon is an essential civil right. We would be open to hear arguments to this effect, but we believe that weapons should be carried openly when they are carried. Concealed carry does not act as a deterrent, in any sense, and so the carrying of a weapon as a deterrent is undermined by concealment. And other than that or some militia function, we are not sure what other reason there would be to carry a weapon in public. Again, we are willing to hear any reasonable argument to contrary, but we have not heard one so far. |
