Luthori is, essentially, Particracy's equivalent of England. Think Blake's Jerusalem, this green and pleasant
land, the country of long shadows on county grounds, warm beer, invincible green suburbs, and old maids
bicycling to holy communion through the morning mist.

Note that Luthori is England, not the United Kingdom - while there's some overlap, of course, the Celtic
nations are Aloria (Welsh) and Kirlawa (Irish with a Scottish minority).

Luthori could also be considered something of an English Holy Roman Empire, or an English version of the
German Empire of 1871-1918.

Like England and the United Kingdom, Luthori once had a vast colonial empire. Luthori's Golden Age
began with the ascension of Good King Philip, the son of Mary I of Luthori and Philip II of Alduria, to both
nation's thrones as Philip III & I. This is also the OOC explanation for why Luthori speaks English, given
the previous lack of ties between the two countries and indeed the complete non-existence of French prior
to the 19th century colonisation of southern Seleya by the Selucian Empire (the Roman Empire as a
European colonial empire). Middle Luthorian (Anglish) was, due to the union, influenced by the Canrillaise
language, resulting in the language's modern form.

Random fact: Particracy isn't just a game, it also has a forum, where players meet up to discuss role-playing, talk about in-game stuff, run their own newspaper or organisation and even discuss non-game and real-life issues! Check it out: http://forum.particracy.net/
