Bill: Socially Liberal Consensus of 2205

Details

Submitted by[?]: Lutte Féministe de Libération

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2207

Description[?]:

Although we have not always gotten along with these parties, nor do we intend to, we believe that on the important issues that will be facing Rildanor in the next few years we will work together well.

We hope that the Alternative Approach recognizes the position of power this cabinet proposal would place Chairwoman Lisa Falkland. We also hope they have extremely bitter memories about being kept out of the cabinet that used to constitute the RWE, the DEP, and the BP when those parties were in power, even though it was the Alternative Approach that had first organized them under the "Conservative Coalition".

We are willing to make some concessions to the AA, including the scope of legislation which we propose in the coming term, to achieve this change.

We look forward to working with both parties and creating a new socially liberal consensus for Rildanor's future.

MessageA very exciting majority at that.

I assume the CLP supports this, as they are not given any representation in the other cabinet?

MessageI will support this cabinet proposal wholeheartedly. I think its time to make sure that the constant attempts at social regulation by the right wing parties stops.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).

Random quote: "The one bonus of not lifting the ban on gays in the military is that the next time the government mandates a draft we can all declare homosexuality instead of running off to Canada." - Lorne Bloch
