MessageI am in favour of increased education and healthcare prioritisation, but believe this budget's proposed cuts to a number of departments (Infrastructure and Transport, Envioroment and Tourism, Justice) are too drastic.

MessageWell, they actually seem drastic compared to the budget before because everything pretty much had the same spending. Would you really spend as much on health or education as environment and tourism? Do you need to spend as much? A real budget will not have spending go evenly to all of the different ministries, simply because it doesn't work that way. Certain ministries don't need as much money, and not necessarily because they're less important, but because they actually do not require as much money to run.

Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn
