Bill: Head of State Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Republican Party of Hutori

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4605

Description[?]:

Having a monarch at the Head of State, even without and real power, is still a detriment on our society. We should have a system that does not celebrate the failures of the monarchal system, and instead gives full recognition to our actual government and its leader. This act will give the head of government the status of full head of state. Vote yes to get rid of a useless and detrimental figurehead of the past.

MessageMr Speaker,

The Republican Party brings forward this bill without giving any thought whatsoever to the implications of it. They fail to bring forward an amended constitution to lay out the structure of power in this proposed system. Finally, if the Republican Party was serious about this, they would at least be able to recognize minor details like the fact that they are proposing that we have 2 Prime Ministers.

MP for Prosperity Centre

MessageAlthough we support an abolishment of Monarchy in theory, this bill alone will not make a difference and is not thought-out. We oppose.
