Description[?]:

"Madam Speaker,

On request of our President of the Commonwealth, this government has produced a new budget to present, in our economic statement to the house.

This budget makes use of the surplus in our revenues, investing significantly in vital public services. In education, a huge 5 Billion HLR cash injection has been issued, to insure our children receive the greatest education and opportunities we can provide, preparing our country for the future generations.

In health we have provided extra funding of an equally significant sum, increasing spending by around 7% of the current figure. This shall ensure everyone has access to quality doctors, nurses, facilities and therefore the best possible chances of combating illness and disability. This money is also available to our social services ensuring benefits are available to those in need.

We have chosen to further invest in our defence industries. This is evidence that this government is willing to ensure our citizens security and our national sovereignty, with an extra 2 Billion HLR available.

Additional funding for internal affairs dept. will see investment into policing, border force officers and more. This, along with investment into infrastructure is to develop our public services to make ours the best globally!

In summary Madam Speaker, this budget would mean huge investment into our nation which is fully costed and resulting in better services, better educated and vitally, more safe citizens. I commend this statement to the house and hope that we see this bill pass"

William Mills,
Minister of State for Finance

MessageWe agree with the increased usage of our surplus values, but we don't think that we have any reason to prioratize defence right now.
