Message | The government has no right to say what is too dangerous for the population. If both parties consent, it should be perfectly legal. |
Date | 21:14:01, October 02, 2019 CET | From | People's Liberation Front of Kalistan | To | Debating the Dueling Restriction Act |
Message | Dueling is a clear and present danger to citizens of this country. We are in the year 4643 and we shouldn't be allowing our people to endanger themselves with this antiquated tradition. |
Date | 22:16:24, October 02, 2019 CET | From | National Progressive Party | To | Debating the Dueling Restriction Act |
Message | We believe dueling should be allowed between consenting adults, with adequate regulations. |

Message | The UKWF is torn on this matter. While, yes, dueling is deliberately endangering our citizens, it is both a regulated and mutually agreed-upon method for adults to settle disputes. It never says that the duels need be to the death. We ask- why do this, when the almost inevitable consequence would be a spike in murder rates? |

Message | We would assert that the traditional notion of dueling involves death, while something that would just hurt another person would likely be called sparring. So by allowing dueling the government is essentially sanctioning murder. Also, murder rates wouldn't necessarily go up. Dueling is already uncommon, so a law like this one wouldn't suddenly force hundreds of people to start murdering each other. |
