MessageI would like to thank the RPP in giving me the time and opportunity to voice my plans as a speaker.

it is my solum belief that we have been without a speaker for far too long. As speaker, I would ensure that all parties are equally heard no matter the size but I would also work with parties to set out the rules and standing orders of this house clearly and openly.

I like many of my forebears would champion the rights of the minimal houses those who are new to our system and need guidance and encouragement to get seats in the House of Peers.

furthermore, I would see that the desperately needed repairs are carried out to this great chamber and our House.

but it would not as my forebears have been a staunch enemy of the government I would take up the ancient speakers right to work with the government and cabinet to allow bills to pass smoothly through our system and into law

I thank you for your time and consideration I hope I can count on the support of this house

Signed

Mr James McVey MP
