Message | Mr. Speaker, We believe in the separation between the church and the state but not in a way where it restricts civil rights. We can't approve mandatory vaccination or the prohibition of religious schools. |
Date | 20:53:13, October 14, 2019 CET | From | New Left Alliance | To | Debating the Secular Luthori Act (4649) |
Message | Mr. Speaker, The Communist Party seem to believe that leaving children vulnerable to disease is a civil rights issue. It is not. It is a human rights issue and it is a child protection issue. Our children need to be safe in and out of school, not needlessly exposed to preventable diseases. And we all know religious school divide rather than unite our society; we are not simply Hosian or Ahmadi, Yeudi or Atheist. We are all people and we are all Luthori. We need to come together not separate and atomise. Alison Jackson-Wright Spokesperson for New Left Alliance |
