Message | Casa delle Libert will support this proposal since the formal title of the Dolgarian Head of State has little bearing on how he/she fulfills the duties of the office. (OOC: Having a Male Empress would be funny too!) However, perhaps we could change the formal title to a combined term like Emperor/Empress, or a gender neutral term like: Imperial Sovereign Royal Ruler Honorable Leader Imperial Legate (OOC: I especially like this last one since it is a title that relfects the Dolgarian Empire's Roman flavor {Senatus Populusque Dolgarae = Senatus Populus que Romanus SPQR}. A Legate is an official representative of a government and in the ancient Roman Empire was a legion commander who was sometimes also a provincial governor. As Imperial Legate, our Dolgarian head of state, whether male or female, would be 1) the executive representative of our national Government, 2) supreme imperial governor over all five provinces, and 3) the commander-in-chief of all our Legio....errr....national military.) |

Message | Seeing as how we've never had an Emperor in 71 years since the elected Monarchy was established, this is well overdue (watch, we'll only have male Empresses now). OOC: We've been trying to ditch the Roman theme though =P |

Message | (OOC: I didn't know you all were trying to ditch the Roman theme. What theme do you want to move toward? Since I'm playing CLP as a party that represents classical regional interests, I'll usually provide opposition to moves that take the country away from its historical roots. So.......) While Casa delle Libert supports retaining the title of Emperor for the Dolgarian head of state, we are open to negotiating a change to the title Empress, Imperial Legate, or another term that reflects our historical heritage. |
