Bill: Naval Regulation Reform
Details
Submitted by[?]: Christian Democrats
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2211
Description[?]:
"Two more nations have recently ratified the Keymon Neutrality Agreement, making it once of the most ratified treaties on the planet. The danger to our nation of military invasion has diminished so far as to be a minor concern at best. Furthermore, our laws do not permit our military to be used in a fashion that compromises our neutrality. It therefore only serves to defend our nation. With all this in mind, perhaps it is time for the Keymon Royal Navy to permit women to serve in battlefield positions, at least on paper. On the one hand, the chances of them facing combat is rare. On the other, the only time in which they would have to face combat is if we were actually repelling an invasion. . . when we would need every soldier the most." -- Vivanne Dynamis, Minister of the Interior |
