Message | In principle, the government would support this Bill. In fact, for article 2 we would prefer the option to use chemical or biological weapons for whatever reason. Setting such policies of these should not be seen as those of a warmongering administration. Rather, they are policies belonging (at least in the case of the Beluzia Renewal Party) to those who want to provide the maximum guarantee of safety possible for our citizens by providing the ultimate in deterrence. Deterrence only works realistically if the strongest possible consequences are perceived to be realistic and you are believed to be prepared to trigger those consequences. Making "peaceful" statements, as the current laws do, provides zero deterrence. Changing our policies to those proposed does not mean we have any desire to use chemical or biological weapons. |
