| The government proposes to withdraw from the International Confederation for Applied Chemistry and Biological Research (ICACBR) treaty: (http://classic.particracy.net/viewtreaty.php?treatyid=3085) If this treaty had obtained the ratification of the majority of Terran nations, or even a sizeable number of them, then the government would be more hesitant in introducing this Bill as the BRP is firmly in favour of education and research. However, in this case, with only three other member nations, the government suggests that the treaty provides little genuine gain and clutters up our "treaty" box in the very manner in which the current rationalisation process is seeking to minimise. |
