Bill: Religion Definition Reform II
Details
Submitted by[?]: Christian Democrats
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2214
Description[?]:
"Our party and our government are very supportive of religion. However, it is possible that government, in its zealousness to protect the rights of our people, have created economic loopholes. Income is taxed at 8% right now, but call yourself a religion and it is taxed at 0%. Government declines to define religion. This means anyone can register as one and evade income tax. Is this being abused? Is this cause for changing our laws? We believe debate is in order and ask the other parties for their input." -- Director General Lord Antonio Keymon |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The governments stance on religious schools.
Old value:: Any religion may set up a school, with no regulations.

Message | "To our esteemed royal collegueas, we brought up two bills on different sides of the coin because our regulations on religious schools were inconsistent and we wanted debate. Debate fell on the side of abandoning any regulation of religious schools, so we are voting consistently on both bills - in favor of less regulation of religious schools." -- Director General Lord Antonio Keymon |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
Random quote: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King Jr. |
