Bill: Housing Rent Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Common Wealth Party - CWP

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 4738

Description[?]:

The current location of housing is bad and unfair in many parts of the country. In many cities and regions, people (individually and as a family) cannot live in apartments or houses because of excessive prices that do not correspond to the actual value and are simply unpayable. In order to improve the situation, local governments should use rent regulations in very badly affected regions and cities. Local governments should decide when and why regulations are needed. This would be the right way to improve the housing situation.

MessageMr Speaker,
The situation is bad and we have to act now. Even if we have different opinions, we have to find a solution. We make this compromise that local governments will only intervene in affected regions, otherwise the rest will continue to function unregulated. With that, the government and also the opposition could agree. A change is very important and therefore I urge all parties to vote in favour of it.

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections.
