Description[?]:
Mr. Speaker, The Green Democratic Party deems education to be one of the areas in which a national standard must be upheld to prevent people from certain areas falling behind. The situation as it exists now only emboldens the wealthier parts of our nation who have the most resources and whose parents have the most leverage. We cannot have a two-tiered education system. Educational rights must be preserved equally and highly for all children. Aurana Bonneau Leader of the Green Democratic Party Member of Parliament for St. Adrian North River |

Message | Mr. Speaker Can the Green Party and the supporting Minister of Education explain the cost this will be to the federal coffers to remove Higher Education from the provinces, who understand their needs better then we do and how this will be regulated and coordinated? Message | Mr Speaker, We Greens do indeed plan on new tax proposals to fund the measures we are supporting, but our anti-militarism bills will help alleviate the costs. The idea that the provinces must understand the educational needs of students more than the federal government, well, I simply don't understand the logic behind that. I am interested in maintaining a high standard of education across this nation, it seems a certain party is more interested in federalist rhetoric. Message | Mr. Speaker I believe the Leader of the Green Party should read Federal Legislation already on the books. There is already a National Standard and Curriculum that the Provinces are required to follow to ensure that the standard of education is the same across the nation. Why does the Green Party believe bureaucrats in Bekenial are better equipped and knowledgable then the Educators in Carter City, Kincardine or St. Adrian. Message | Mr Speaker, I'm sorry, I don't speak pandering. Perhaps I need one of those language learning apps. In all seriousness, this bill does not phase educators out of the educational system. It simply nationalises the development and funding of educational institutions. The upkeep of educational systems is an entirely different thing from the teaching itself, which will of course be done by educators themselves. Message | Mr.Speaker I would like to point out that the Ministry of Finance is in no way prepared to fund a huge public education system with no help from Private Education Facilities. The Greens are doing nothing but taking a very functional system within our land and making it much more complicated and inefficient. Hon.Lincoln Kennedy Minister of Finance Member of Parliament for the Democratic Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, Private corporations have no place determining which children have or do not have the skills they need to progress in life. We cannot have a two-tiered educational system. Separate is inherently unequal. It is startling that the Minister would place 'efficiency' as one of his prime motivators in maintaining the status quo. Not 'equality', not 'meritocracy', but 'efficiency'. Children are not robots being manufactured on a line. Message | Mr.Speaker I will be very curious to hear the Honorable Leader of the Greens’ thoughts on efficiency when the State-monopolised Education system starts to rot like the rest of the bureaucratic system. Hon.Lincoln Kennedy Minister for Finance Member of Parliament for the Democratic Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, It is interesting, is it not, that I am to be lectured on the bureaucratic systems of this nation by the honourable Minister who is in charge of most of these bureaucratic systems? If one feels unable to manage one's ministry, should one not resign? Aurana Bonneau Leader of the Green Democratic Party Member of Parliament for St Adrian North River |
