Message | Mr.Speaker Our finance report already shows a very health surplus to our state budget,so there is no need for extra taxing. This proposal will do nothing but hurt our economy. Hon.Lincoln Kennedy Minister for Finance Member of Parliament for the Democratic Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, This is a tax on incorporated businesses that are already making a profit. This money can be invested into the budget, which interestingly enough is *good* for the economy. Aurana Bonneau Leader of the Green Democratic Party Member of Parliament for St Adrian North River |

Message | Mr.Speaker Taxes are never “good for the economy”. They are only a necessary evil and If we abuse them for no good reason such as the Honorable Leader of the Green Democrats is proposing here, We will no doubt suffer the economic consequences. Hon.Lincoln Kennedy Minister for Finance Member of Parliament for the Democratic Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, The line 'taxes are never good for the economy' is so utterly farcical and bizarre that it would tickle me immensely - where it not the view of the honourable Minister for Finance. We have once again hit a wall of rhetoric, as is common in this chamber, by which a certain party will simply dogmatically state that a certain thing is wrong because it is. This is always to the extreme disadvantage of the ordinary working Hutorian. Aurana Bonneau Leader of the Green Democratic Party Member of Parliament for St Adrian North River |

Message | Mr.Speaker The “ordinary working hutorian” is exactly what we are trying to protect from back-breaking and business halting taxes which the Greens are so fond of. Hon.Lincoln Kennedy Minister for Finance Member of Parliament for the Democratic Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, The 'ordinary working Hutorian' is not on the board of a profitable corporation. Perhaps the Minister's friends are. The ordinary working Hutorian would be benefited by the programs my party is fighting for. Aurana Bonneau Leader of the Green Democratic Party Member of Parliament for St Adrian North River |

Message | Mr.Speaker I would remind the Honorable Lady that a profitable corporation exists because of the “ordinary working hutorian” and the idea to punish corporation through taxes simply because they are successful will not only cause them to go to layoffs to pay the taxes but also discourage any other corporations from forming. That’s when you see companies going oversees and thus jobs going oversees. Away and further away from Hutori. Then we will see if the Green Democrats care about a few leaves or the hundreds of hungry individuals with no jobs left for them. Hon.Lincoln Kennedy Minister for Finance Member of Parliament for the Democratic Party |

Message | Mr Speaker, I am once again startled by the Minister for Finance's ignorance. Indeed, profitable corporations exist because of the ordinary working Hutorian. That is why we should be redistributing wealth from the board members and their bonuses to the average worker by means of investment in infrastructure and public services. We have arrived at the point in all debates in this chamber in which a wealthy individual with wealthy friends once again creates a fantasy of imminent apocalypse to justify refusing to invest in the average person. It's a sad thing. Aurana Bonneau Leader of the Green Democratic Party Member of Parliament for St Adrian North River |
Date | 17:06:56, May 19, 2020 CET | From | National Progress Party | To | Debating the Bill GD-13: Corporation Tax Act 4758 |
Message | Mr. Speaker, If we do agree with most of the argument brought up by the Green Democratic Party, this once gain is too extreme for us to support. A small corporation taxe could be negotiable but goin from 0% to 40% overnight would be a shock that our economy will not be able to take. Apllying such a drastic policy would have terrible terrible consequence on the lives of millions of hutorian. -Amanda Barclay Former minister of Finance MP for Aylesbury North |
